About

I have been a psychologist in Montreal since 2016 and I practice psychoanalytically-oriented psychotherapy. This approach is based on working with unconscious processes that influence how we interact with others and with ourselves. It is through the therapeutic relationship and what manifests within it that desired change can occur.

I completed a doctorate in clinical psychology at the University of Sherbrooke. I learned to work according to the three major approaches in psychology: the psychodynamic approach, the cognitive-behavioral approach, and the humanistic-existential approach. I have pursued opportunities to deepen my understanding of different psychoanalytic authors. During my studies, I worked with a varied clientele, notably young adults, men and women dealing with domestic violence issues, as well as couples seeking marital therapy.

Thanks to 8 years of study in psychology, I now hold a doctorate. I am a member of the Order of Psychologists of Quebec and the Association of Psychologists of Quebec. I am also invited to various activities of the Montreal Psychoanalytic Society.

I worked early in my career with people who poorly managed their aggression in a marital context. I thus became familiar with various inadequate ways of expressing one’s aggression. I also worked with couples who sought to reconcile.

I opened the RPM clinic in 2019 in order to surround myself with colleagues who shared my curiosity for psychoanalysis. Every week, we meet to discuss our readings of different authors (e.g., Freud, Roussillon, Winnicott). I am also supervised by various psychoanalysts of different affiliations (Freudian, Lacanian) in order to continue my learning. All these activities also allow me to better decode everything that can be said and acted out during clinical sessions.

The psychodynamic approach is based on the interpretation of unconscious processes that motivate and shape our relationships with others and with ourselves.
